Monday's LA Star had quite a few advertisements for BIG sales the day after Christmas. I think these were supposed to be in the Tuesday's paper; however my carrier delivered them a day early. I will cut the short talk and get right down to business

All Target stores will open at 7 to 8 AM. As usually they will have their Christmas items at 50% off the original price. This morning I found plenty of artificial Christmas trees at the Simi Valley store ranging from $50 to $500, so one can get a nice 7.5 foot pre-lit Bowerman Artificial Pine Tree for about $150 (regular price $300).

Target usually has some very nice ornaments left for half price, as well as Santa Caps for $6 (I saw a bunch for $12; they will be $6 on Wednesday). Don't forget, Target is quick to mark toys down starting at 15, then 30, following by 50 then 75%. The toy department manager told me that as soon as Thursday 12/27 they will be marking toys down. This is a great chance to start next years shopping.

The Kohl's ad looks very sweet. They have 50% off all Carlton and Hallmark holiday items. On Saturday the Moorpark Kohl's had ton of ornaments left, even a few Star Trek, Star Wars, and Peanuts. The advertisement states that Trim-A-Tree and holiday home décor will be 70% off the original price. Senior's can take an extra 15% off Wednesday and Thursday. Stores will open at 6 AM on Wednesday.

Macy's will open their stores at 6 AM on Wednesday. In the ad are two coupons; One is a 20% off "all day" savings pass and it is good for 12/26 to 12/29. The other is a coupon for $10 off $25 and it is good for Wednesday and Thursday until 1 PM (or follow this link for a printable coupon http://www.macys.com/dyn_img/site_ads/122507_MNO_Coupon_5.pdf) . Macy's will have Holiday Lane Collection items at 50 to 60% off. In addition, all holiday dinnerware is 60% off.

Staples will have a 22" ACER widescreen LCD monitor for $135.

Heads up! Petco will have a holiday clearance with no less than 50% off.
