Cuisinart BFP-703 Smartpower Duet Blender / Food Processor: Review

I was under the impression that the Oster is the indisputable leader as far as the 2 in 1 combo blender and food processors are concerned and was happily settled with it. This did full justice to the $100 that I invested until one not so fine evening when the motor broke after being in
service for just two months. I guess it was because of the wearing motor that the Oster lost its ability to crush the ices and it was so embarrassing to pick out splinters of ice from the smoothies. Only after enquiring about this mishap with my friends, I realized that the Oster is not so successful in ice crushing and they suggested me the Cuisinart Smartpower.

Now that I have been using it regularly for more than a year, I can confidently tell that it is really Smart for $60. This versatile kitchen appliance has basically a single motor equipped inside the strong sturdy base and the blender or the food processor needs to be seated on this as per the requirement. This is a simple and easy to use double bonanza domestic device that does not need any assembling or detailed installation. If you ask me give one reason why I highly recommend this is plainly because of its indefatigable ability to crush ice relentlessly so fine without any lumps that even ice cones can be made. This works with the same efficiency even toady as it was on the very first day.

The Cuisinart Smartpower Duet Blender / Food Processor come with a 350 watt motor and surprisingly this works on par with the Oster 600 watt model. The blender and the processor work with superior performance in the same way as they operate as just individual units. This is because of the powerful motor and the heavy base that moves things effortlessly. The blender is large enough to make 40 ounce of drinks for something more than a small family and the glass pitcher makes it easy to supervise the process. I use it regularly for making juice, soup, smoothies, frozen drink and shakes.
