When I was pregnant with my son, I used to spend hours at toy stores looking at all of the things I wanted to buy him. I noticed one day while out shopping the Fischer Price Deluxe Jumperoo. This seemed like a fun and safe jumping toy, however I wanted another opinion of a parent who had one. I was having coffee with a friend of mine and noticed that her little boy had one, I commented on how I was looking for one and was hesitant about purchasing one. It wasn't long after she put her little boy in and wow this kid was having a ball. He jumped and laughed and was content the rest of my visit. I made my mind up, I was definitely buying one.

I went to my local Wal-Mart and purchased the Fischer Price Deluxe Jumperoo for around $60.00. Everything on the box said assembly was easy and that there were no tools required. I was feeling rather empowered and decided to go ahead and put it together. The assembly is fairily simple however I did have some confusion with putting the seat padding in. I also found it is best to put the batteries in as you assemble the toy bar. Overall It was put together within 10 minutes or so.

My son was only 3 months old, however I was anxious to put him in and let him try it out. The Jumperoo comes with 4 different height levels to grow with the baby. I started with 1. I placed my son in the seat and used his baby blankets around him as a padding and to help keep in place. I also put some couch cushions underneath the Jumperoo so he would have his feet on something. He looked around and was unsure of what to do, I gently bounced him up and down which he seemed to like.

As my son grew and his feet could reach the floor, he began to enjoy his Jumperoo. He soon mastered the art of jumping and squealing with delight. This was great for me as I could take a shower or do light housework while he played. I loved the fact that as he was becoming more comfortable in his Jumperoo and jumping faster that the Jumperoo stayed in place. It never tilted or rocked and he played in it pretty hard.
