I wake up in a bizarre sense of euphoria. Sunlight is shining down upon my face, as I shake the cobwebs from my mind.
"Oh, you're up, honey," a sweet, melodic voice echoes from the other side of the bedroom.
I turn to see the door opening and a beautiful woman entering with a serving tray of food on it and a vase containing a freshly cut rose, dew still glistening on the petals.
"I brought you breakfast, sleepy head," the woman says, smiling as she walked toward me.
She set the tray on a dresser beside my bed. "Sit up, silly, before your food gets cold."
I sit up and she fluffs a few pillows behind me and up against the headboard of the bed. She picks up the tray and sets it across my legs.
"Two eggs, over easy. Bacon, home fries, toast, lightly buttered, English breakfast tea, and orange juice. Just the way you like your breakfast," she says with an air of self-accomplishment.
I finally see her up close and can scrutinize this beautiful mystery woman before me. She is around five foot tall with a perfectly slim body with exquisite curves all over, as evidenced by her form-fitting, yellow sun dress. Her hair is long, brown, and wavy, framing a gorgeous face with Irish features. She has pale, smooth skin with a freshly washed appearance.
Her face turns upward and with a flick of her hand, she pushes some of her cascading, silky hair over and behind her ear granting me a clear view of her face. The first things I notice are her piercingly pale, green eyes, which seem very deep. Her nose is small with a very slight upturned shape, leading down to smooth pair of full, red lips. She looks like my dream woman and oddly familiar but I cannot place it.
Her cheeks and neck have light pink rosy blotches, which, I realize, are present because she is embarrassed by my intense staring.
"John, what's wrong?" she asks with a concerned and worried expression on her face, causing her eyebrows to furrow. She touches my forehead to see if I have a fever.
"I'm not sure," I answer honestly.
"Why were you staring at me?" she asks.
"I was admiring your beauty."
