The boards have many different designs on, which you can use for such holidays as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Halloween and for special events such as the birth of a new child. You can also design your own boards to use for your own pins for any occasion you desire.
The boards which you will find at such places as Michael's Arts and Crafts and AC Moore's Craft Company cost between 25 and 39 cents a piece. I then remove any stickers that remain on the board so that the pin backs can be applied to the board itself. If the board is dirty, there is a possibility that the pin back could come off on some later date.
In your crafting area, plug in the glue gun and let it sit for around 3 to 5 minutes with a glue stick inserted, and arrange some boards with the pin backs very near by. Rest the glue gun some place heat resistant. When the glue gun is heated simply, apply a little bit of hot glue to the back of the board and place the pin back on the back of the board. The pins are dry in a number of minutes. Be sure to wipe away any of the glue strands from your boards.
You can also decorate the boards more if you desire with ribbon, glitter, and other items to make them sparkle. Everything is up to your imagination. You can even use some scrapbooking supplies.
It is also possible to do this craft without the glue gun and glue, by simply purchasing pin backs with tape backs, which you can stick to the boards.
For Christmas, you can put one on a gift along with the gift card, or send one in a card. These pins are especially easy if you are giving them out to large crowds such as Trick-or-Treaters, Christmas Carolers, or parties. If you are at a loss to give away something at a party, or something to share with your co-workers, here is the gift to try.
