First, allow me to state that I am no enemy of conspiracy theories on that basis alone.  I was co-author of a book released in the early 1990s entitled "The Gary Hart Set-up," that contended that the demise of the 1988 Hart campaign might well have been the result of a political dirty trick possibly engineered by the campaign of George Bush, Sr.  While a local bestseller in the Denver area and its later repetition in books such as Richard Ben Cramer's "What It Takes," that particular conspiracy theory was generally pooh-poohed in the media, making me one of its sole adherents.

As with Senator Hart, I was and have always been skeptical of the findings of the Warren Commission that investigated the assassination of President Kennedy.  I believe I was the first investigator to point out that the damage inflicted by the various bullets that day showed clear evidence of being caused by different kinds of ammunition.

In 2001, I wrote an article for the Washington Free Press of Seattle, Washington (under the pen-name R. Roy Blake), that won a Projected Censored Award entitled "Genetic Bullets," that alleged the existence of government programs in various nations to study the feasibility of "genetically specific biological weapons,"  that is biological weapons that could be made to target only members of a specific ethnic group. That may well have been the story that cost investigative reporter Danny Casalaro his life.

Thus, I think I can clearly state that if I find a conspiracy theory to be preposterous, that criticism cannot be readily dismissed as the criticism of one who does not believe that conspiracy has helped to shape human history.  Indeed, in an essay I entitled "Conspiracy and Chaos," I put forth the argument that conspiracy has and is one of the major contributors to history, and that conspiracy can also be summed up rather innocuously as an attempt, tacit or deliberate to control chaos, which I defined as everything from market forces, to political movements, to the weather.

Takeaways
  • The 9/11 Grand Conspiracy Theory becomes impossible when reverse engineered
  • The idea of a controlled demolition bringing down the Twin Towers is easily refuted
  • The 9/11 Grand Conspiracy Theory was first advanced and then abandoned by bin Laden
Did You Know?
The impetus to investigate the "Grand 9/11" conspiracy theory came from conversations with a family member of the heroic passengers on Flight 93

Look at these two links before you decide the 9/11 was a conspiracy http://www.huffingtonpost.com/_97993.html and http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/50427/911_conspiracy_theorists_echo_early.html

Interesting that this article is sponsored in part by Paranoia Magazine, probably the weirdest article I ever wrote was for Paranoia, you can look it up in a back issue. I think it was called "Satanism, the Illuminati and the Andromedans," talk about high weirdness. More to the subject, if "truth" and the others who have commented here don't believe the bin Laden video where he takes credit for 9/11 maybe they can believe (I doubt it of course because they have already proven that they have an anti-American, anti-Western,anti-Semitic agenda) bin Laden's own written words, the book's title of which is "Messages to the World, the Statements of Osama bin Laden," edited by Bruce Lawrence pg. 193-4, "And on that blessed Tuesday, the 23rd of Jumada ath-thani 1422, which corresponds to September 11, 2001...there came a group of young believers with dishevelled hair and dusty feet...But God had guided them...So they attacked the enemy with their own planes in a brave and beautiful

Richard Blake does not address the real issues, like: How did all 3 buildings free-fall to the ground without internally placed and detonated explosives? Why did NORAD lie to the 9-11 commission? Why is there no bodies of wreckage outside the pentagon and why are there no photos of an airliner entering it? What happened to the airliner that "crashed" in PA? How did it didsappear? and on and on and on.

Had Richard Blake done better research, he would have seen that the "Osama" who admitted to doing 9-11 was faked. In actuality, Osama steadfastly denied doing it. See ST911.org specifically, the Steven Jones lecture.
