The past years have been a gentle kiss of old memories,
that love light sometimes burns foolishly low..,-
our present life is a collage of broken promises
living in a substituted world.
We have found our shadows in ignorance
and endless patience.
I call your name sometimes
and you acknowledge my name not,
and in the brief romance of our triangle world
is it foolish to want that old feeling?
I listen to your heart
when I have hurt your heart-
i live in frail bewilderment,
and then you touch my hand,
i feel that tenderness of habit
touch my foolish heart.
Our love at times is like the adopted child
whom comes to find that certain truth
is all the truth of hand me down evidence-waking
from the thrill of lies and true deceit.
Our hearts stand and await the melody of loves embrace,
we know our story has yet to unfold
manifested from that beautiful young dream.
We have reposed everything that was once complete,
learning where love is our only story we can conquer.
Bye Bye Blackbird and Hello to Tomorrow
