He was Named the Walter Payton Man of the Year for His Volunteer Work

He has been an All-Pro running back for the San Diego Chargers five times. He was the MVP of the NFL in 2006. He has rushed for more than 1,200 yards and caught more than 50 passes in each of his s
even seasons in the league. He has also completed eight passes, with seven of them thrown for touchdowns. In 2006 he scored a league-leading 186 points. In everything he does, LaDainian Tomlinson seeks to demonstrate his faith in Jesus Christ as God's Son, Who died on the cross for the sins of the world and rose again to give those who trust Him a home in heaven, and he also demonstrates his faith by giving to a lot of charities.

LaDainian Tomlinson is more than willing to lead his team in prayer. Those who hear him pray say it is obvious say it is obvious he talks to His Lord often. He is known for sharing his faith with former Chargers when he works out during the off season. Those in the league say he is also known as a humble man. He has never turned from the faith God began in his life when he was a teenager, despite the notoriety that comes with being an NFL player, despite the money that could turn his head.

LaDainian Tomlinson, ever wanting to share his Christian faith, said on the website, http://www.breakawaytv.com that he owes everything "to God. My mom told me a long time ago that God would take me places I never dreamed I'd go if I kept Him first and gave Him all the glory."

LaDainian Tomlinson does not share his Christian faith only by living a humble, pure life, but he also shares it by how he cares for people and shows that caring by helping through a variety of charities.

For two years he has hosted the LaDainian Tomlinson Celebrity Golf Tournament to support LT School is Cool Scholarship Fund, the I Am Foundation and the victims of the deadly wildfires that ravaged San Diego County last October. He hosted a football camp in San Diego and another in Waco, Texas, at Baylor University (LaDainian Tomlinson graduated from Texas Christian University.).
