A First Day as a PSO (Phone Sex Operator)

I'm talking with Delilah, the lady I interviewed for my first phone sex article. I wanted her to tell me about her first day and what that was like in comparison to what she thought it would be like.

TS: Delilah, I picture a phone sex operator moaning into a phone and painting her nails in real life. Close or far off?

D: Depends. Usually that's pretty far off, but there are times when that is true. We're always promoting ourselves. We're a product we're trying to sell, there isn't much down time. You have to remember that we may be logged in for several hours and only be paid for an hour or so of that time. We are only paid for when we are on the phone and talking. Plus there is the research..

TS: Research? Isn't it just sex?

D: Oh I wish it were. No, we are always researching the fetishes. Guys will surprise us all the time. You think you are going to get callers wanting to have sex, but no, most callers are wanting you to do really bizzare stuff while they are on the phone.

TS: I dare to ask. Can you tell us of one of those bizarre fetishes you've encountered?

D: Middle aged Scottish man who I will call "Red". Red wanted to talk about what I looked like, what I liked, what I didn't like. In between these questions he wanted me to burp. So I would be like "I'm short with brown hair and green eyes.... BUUUUUUURP" I nearly couldn't do it with a straight face, a few times I didn't. He thought the giggles meant that I liked it. That call lasted til his time ran out. (The way the call ends is different for a hangup than for a timer rundown). I can fake alot of things, but faking a burp was tough.

TS: I can't even imagine.

D: No, you really can't. It's amazing what you'll get, and every day just brings a crazier scenario.
