Where to Volunteer in San Jose, California #1: Sacred Heart Community Service

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at the Sacred Heart Community Service, you first need to attend an orientation. The orientation lasts around two hours and you'll also be shown along the facility. There are many positions that you can chose from and students are even invited to volunteer. Family Supportive Housing Inc. provides emergency housing for families. They also provide the homeless with clothing and food. The Family Supportive Housing Inc. has eight volunteer positions that you could chose to work in. They are: Evening care for preschoolers, Dinner servers, Homework enrichment program, Voyager day care program, Kitchen helper, Closet clothes aide, Workshop facilitator and adult weekday volunteer on call list. Although I do not live in California, I still found this very interesting. Thanks for such a great article. I think that volunteer work is very rewarding.
