The International House of Pancake or "IHOP" as it is now called is the place to go for pancakes and waffles. Almost every breakfast entrée served comes with pancakes, and the amount served is befitting a King. You are served so much food there is no way around not having leftovers. Breakfast never stops even if you desire to have it at lunch or dinnertime. They have over 14 different varieties of pancakes to choose from.

Founded in 1958 by Al Lapin who opened the restaurant in Toluca, California, in the suburbs of Los Angeles, by 1960 the company had gone into franchising. In 1961, the restaurant was publicly traded under the name, The International House of Pancake. In 1963, the company adopted the name International Industries. In 1973, "IHOP" was introduced. By 1992, the 500th IHOP was opened. In 2003, they introduced the marketing campaign "Come Hungry, Leave Happy," which introduced the Stuffed French Toast, and in 2004, they won the Prestigious Advertising and Marketing Awareness Award.

The Stuffed French Toast consists of Cinnamon raisin French toast stuffed with sweet cream cheese filling, topped with cool strawberry or your choice of fruit compote and a whipped topping. It is served with two eggs, hash browns, two bacon strips or two pork sausage links. The eggs you can have any way you like.
In 1984 the breakfast meal Rooty Tooty Fresh 'n Fruity was introduced. This meal consists of two eggs, two bacon strips, two pork sausage links and two buttermilk pancakes topped with cool strawberry or your choice of fruit compote and whipped topping.

I found the International Passport quiet tasty and a favorite. It came with two eggs, two bacon strips, two pork sausage links and your choice of two same-style crepes. You can choose from French, which is with an orange sauce, German, or Swedish with lingonberries and lingonberry butter.
