I've occasionally had a little puffiness under my eyes, and I've noticed others with this common problem. Unfortunately makeup won't hide or get rid of puffiness under the eyes, at least none I've ever found. All makeup does is draw more attention to the problem, especially eye makeup that draws attention to the eyes. With just a few simple tricks and methods, it is possible to reduce or completely get rid of puffiness under the eyes. One of the following easy methods to get rid of puffiness under the eyes might just work for you!

Cool Tea Bags

If you want to get rid of the problem in a matter of minutes, try relaxing with a couple of cool tea bags over your eyes. Using two teabags, make yourself a couple of servings of your favorite hot tea, and allow the teabags to cool completely as you slowly sip it. If you're lacking sleep, the caffeine in the tea will give you a much needed boost. Once the teabags are completely cool, lie back and relax with the cool teabags over your eyes. After a few minutes, turn the teabags over and rest an additional three or four minutes. Finish by washing your face with cool water, and dry your skin thoroughly. You should feel refreshed, and the puffiness under your eyes should be visibly reduced.

Hemorrhoid Cream

Hemorrhoid cream is good for more than annoyingly painful hemorrhoids, and it's a good reducer in more ways than one. Besides reducing the size of nasty hemorrhoids, hemorrhoid cream will get rid of or reduce puffiness under the eyes. While using extra care around the eyes, dab on a small amount in the areas of puffiness. In a matter of minutes you should see a significant difference.

Witch Hazel

Witch hazel is used to treat minor abrasions, but it also has a number of other fantastic uses. It can help get rid of or reduce under eye swelling. Cool the witch hazel in the refrigerator for approximately 20 minutes, and using a cotton ball, carefully apply it to the skin beneath the eyes. The cool liquid will help reduce or completely get rid of puffiness, and the astringent will help tighten and refresh the skin.

Cool Cucumber

If you're lacking sleep, no amount of home remedies or hemorrhoid creams will get rid of under eye puffiness.

These are great suggestions. I heard of using tea bags and cucumbers before and actually used cucumbers once on my eyes. They felt so refreshed afterwards. Sophie

Wonderful suggestions! Hemmorrhoid cream works wonders for so many different things, so I don't doubt how effective it must be!
