We've all been there. You've written so much that it almost seems like you've completely ran out of options. No matter how much thinking you do or how much time you spend sitting around wasting your time, nothing comes to mind. You're stumped. Well, instead of racking your brain all day long, take some time out of your busy schedule to read the following ways to come up with content for AC.

1. Eavesdrop - Whether you're out on the subway, sitting at a family reunion, or even at work, listening to what others are talking about can clue you in to what people want to hear. Keep a pen and paper handy at all times so that when you hear something worth writing about, you'll immediately have a place to write down your ideas so that you don't run the risk of forgetting about a potentially good article.

2. Read - Magazines and newspapers tend to hold some interesting columns in them. Skim through them and find a subject that you (and others!) are interested in and write about it. It doesn't matter if you're reading the ingredients on a soup can or reading a billboard. Eventually you're bound to come up with a few ideas.

3. Look Around - Go outside and look around. Ask yourself questions, for example, "Why do they have so much junk out in their front yard?" That particular question could bring up a possible article such as, "Spring Cleaning - Make Use of that Junk".

4. Brainstorm - Sit down in a quiet room with a pen and piece of paper. Immediately start writing down everything that comes to your mind even if it's one word. Do this for two minutes straight. Once you've finished writing, review your work, and use it to come up with something to write. For example, let's say you wrote down "baby, money, clothes, boxes, green, etc." This could be an article about getting rid of old baby clothes to make money by having a yard sale. As you can see, I didn't use all of the words, but I still came up with a pretty good idea.

Good ideas. This is the biggest struggle for me some days whereas other days I have tons of ideas!

These are great ideas, especially the brainstorming one about putting random words together to come up with an idea.

A nap works wonders, too.

Very good ideas! Just like Mommie Tullottes, finding the time to write is my biggest problem.

Great ideas! My problem is too many ideas and not enough time to write them in. LOL :-)

I seldom run out of writing ideas; my issue is writing what people want to read. Many ideas come simply by reading AC articles. Read about a CP's blind dog Blue, reminds me of our no-eyed dog Peanut and the story that got joked about on the local radio station, for instance. But it seems AC readers want Britney/Nicole/OJ/Vicks from what I can see showcased and best rated, etc. Another thing that sparks ideas is reading blogs. I often encourage blog writers to join AC because what they blogged was article worthy with little editing.I do like to read movie, music and book reviews. So your last suggestion applies to those as well.
