"Good news everyone. The End of the Future as we know it is happen now. Wait that's not good news. I made myself feel bad."

That's right Professor Adult Swim is saying goodbye to one of it's best and longest running series. Futurama is being run for the last time on the network with a long marathon of every episode to ever run on the late night network.

It will be running from now until January 1, 2008. Where it will be run for the last time. After 7 years on the network it has become one of the most watched shows on adult swim. It had become very popular after it started it's run on adult swim giving the network the rocket boost it needed to push it into the success it is today.

Futurama had first aired on Fox back in 1999 and ran 72 episodes before it was canceled in 2003. Now it is going off the air again. Fans of the show need not worry however for most of the series is now on DVD along with a brand new movie (Bender's Big Score) which come on just it time for Christmas.

So the future that the show gave us with it's loud mouthed, beer drinking robot, one eyed independent woman, and mad scientist, will soon be gone again. The question is Will the future be as cool as that. Who knows but it was definitely was a nice ride while it lasted.
