Which Type Offlea Control is Best for You and Your Pet

I have had dogs all my life and have been through many types of flea control. I started working with a dog guide in 1995 and determined that I couldn’t, with good concience4,
go out into public with my guide and have her scratching and passing on fleas.

I have tried many types of flea control with my pet dogs and will give you what I think to be the plus and minus to each option.
Before purchasing any sort of flea treatment online or at your local department store consult your veterinarian for the proper dosage and type of flea control that is right for your special pet.

We’ll start with the flea collar: A flea collar has to its favor the fact that it is inexpensive, easy to use, easy to find and there is, no prescription needed in order to obtain one. On the other hand; Flea collars smell, they never seem to be the right size and in my experience they simply do not work... I have tried Hartz, and Sergeants and had no luck with either after the first couple of days. The things smell so bad that you can’t stand to snuggle with your pup without a clothespin on your nose and if you have children you are constantly telling them to leave the dog alone as they have a new flea collar that they shouldn’t touch..
