If you are a college student, then I am sure you know what a foam party is at a bar. Well, if you like the wildness of those foam parties, why not go to the spring break town that is home to the bar that made them famous. That town is Rosarito Beach, in Mexico. Rosarito Beach is located in Mexico, but it is only half an hour from downtown San Diego, that helps make it a very popular Spring Break destination for college students. Another fact that contributes is the large bars that are located in town.

The first bar isn't necessarily quite as large as some of the others but it is a well known one. That bar is Senor Frogs. They have pretty good bar food for cheap prices. They also have very good happy hour specials, and huge margaritas all of the time. If you are trying to save some money and still get a good buzz while in Rosarito Beach for Spring Break, don't forget about the $1 shot bar at Senor Frogs.

The next three bars in this article can be described as mega-bars. These are very large bars that can host a very large number of people at once, quite often over 5,000 customers. These bars are not just bars, but entertainment venues with dance floors, food, and activities to participate in. The three in that category in Rosarito Beach, Mexico are Papas & Beer, Club Iggy's, and Club Maya.

Papas & Beer is a legend in Rosarito Beach. It is located with both indoor and outdoor facilities, totalling over 47,000 square feet. There are two dance floors in the bar for everyone, and 5 different VIP rooms. The club has 9 different bars inside to serve its guests. Of course drinking and dancing aren't the only things here. For entertainment there are volleyball nets, a mechanical bull, and a rock climbing wall. Papas & Beer also has a bikini contest and a tug of war contest on a regular basis. Papas & Beer is truly an entertainment venue and a bar.

Takeaways
  • Rosarito Beach in Mexico is just about half an hour from San Diego.
  • There are three mega-bars in town that have numerous entertainment options for their customers.
  • If you are looking for a foam party, you might want to check out Club Iggy's.
Did You Know?
Are you looking for traditional Spring Break Activities such as tug of war, and bikini contests? Then Papas & Beer should be your bar of choice.

I love going to Rosarito Spring Break, I've been going between there and San Felipe mexico pretty much every year I've been in college. (This is my fifth year) anyway it's always been a blast. I'm planning on closing out my Spring Break time this year in Rosarito with Swat (www.SwatUp.com) they usually have the biggest and best Spring Break trips when it comes to Rosarito beach. Probably be staying at the festival plaza, hit me up if your gonna be there. -Johnny V. from SDSU
