Whether someone is a devout Christian or a believer of Hinduism, there are still set beliefs to their religion -- from the belief that Christianity is a way of life, to the hefty influence on society in a Hinduism believing society. Any religion is basically the same - a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

Christianity can be summed in about three statements: a set of beliefs, a way of life, and a community of people. All of which are easily able to be seen in the Christianity religion. Something special about Christianity is that it puts more emphasis on proper belief than many other religions put on their beliefs.

Every person that has faith in Christianity believes the idea that there is one supreme god, with the central figure Jesus. Jesus was/ is a Jew who was brought into this world by the birth from the virgin by the name of Mary. Beliefs of Christians also state that any person can achieve the status of salvation by any person that believes in him (Jesus). The beliefs of any Christian can easily be stated in the following Apostles' Creed.

The Apostle's Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell;
The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From there He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The holy Christian Church,
The Communion of Saints,
the Forgiveness of sins,
The Resurrection of the body,
And the Life everlasting.
Amen.

There are also a set of rules, or commandments that Christians attempt to follow in their day-to-day lives. The rules are known to Christians as the Ten Commandments.

I am afraid your exploration on Hinduism has several flaws. You have started off explaining Hinduism from the Caste structure which by itself is a lop-sided approach. Caste system is only a social evolution in Hinduism which is in a way distorted from the core of the religion. That Hinduism has got 330 million Gods is another major misinformation spread by ill-informed western scholars. Hinduism is a very vast religion with multiple facets and even many Hindus are ill equipped to grasp its nuances of it from all angles. I am sorry that you have attempted to paint Hinduism in a highly questionable color with very limited knowledge on the subject. CVR
