Making a taser is a fun process, and is very simple, despite what many think. The taser in this case will work exactly the same as a stungun - two wires will emit an electrical impulse that will be painful and shock the victim.

Making a taser out of a disposable camera is very simple and requires very little skill or tools. Be sure to follow the directions carefully, as a mistake could result in injury or a ruined camera (or both).

Tools needed:

1 disposable camera

1 soldering gun

2 16-gauge wires

Phillips screwdriver

The camera must be disposable. Some normal cameras will work, but disposable are cheap and guaranteed to have the correct parts.

Step 1: remove the card board body by either tearing it or cutting it off with a knife.

Step 2: Carefully take apart the plastic body using the screwdriver (should be Phillips head, some may be straight). Be sure that the batteries are taken out of the camera so that you don't accidentally shock yourself.

Step 3: Once the plastic body is removed, you should see the circuit board. Remove it from the plastic body. Be careful that you don't break any wires or crack the circuit board.

Step 4: Locate the flash. There will be two connectors that connects the flash to the circuit board. These are the wires we are going to use. Take the 16-gauge wire and cut it into two pieces approx. 6 inches in length.

Step 5: Take the two wires and carefully solder them to the connectors. Remove the flash bulb.

Step 6: Place the circuit board back into plastic body. Leave the wires out of the case. Trim the wires so that they are about 3 inches long and tape the ends so the wires are laying flush on the plastic body.

Step 7: To use the taser, simply touch the wires to the persons body and press the button to snap a picture. If you want the stun to be more powerful, charge the flash fully before zapping.

This camera will be a full working taser. It is a weapon, and should be treated as such. Do not use on anybody. It will shock them, and can be quite painful.

Takeaways
  • Only a disposable camera will work
  • Be careful
  • Know the laws in your area concerning this
