If you are looking for that special Valentine gift for your lady, I will make 10 suggestions. Before beginning my list, I want to share something with you guys. Little things can make a lasting impression to most females. You will always have some who are what I like to call "high maintenance." These are the women who will always want the most expensive, flashiest gifts no matter what it takes you to provide it. I've tried to include Valentine surprises that fit all personalities. The thing to remember is give yourself plenty of time to think and plan what you will do to make that day special for your girl. Use those hidden and not so hidden talents you possess - you will probably surprise her and yourself as well.

Are you on a tight budget? The first few may be right down your alley. Number 1 - Give something of yourself - write a poem filled with your feelings about her. If poetry isn't your thing a love letter is just as good. Do you have a musical side to you, write and sing her a song about what is in your heart. You don't have to be able to write the lyric, you can always use a familiar tune especially if it's a special song for both of you. Remember there are such things as copyright laws so this gift is just between the two of you. Cost is minimal, maybe just the paper, pen and your time. She will never forget this gift.

Number 2 may be a little adventurous for some guys, but it will be worth it. She will feel so loved by your effort if you cook her a Valentine dinner. If you are unmarried, have it at your place. If you are a married couple, you make it at home. If you have children, this is the time you ask grandparents or friends to take them for a few hours or possibly overnight. This meal can be as simple or elaborate as you want to make it. Be sure to dress up the table with a tablecloth, candles and best dishes if you have them. You can incorporate suggestion number 1 and lay it beside her dinner plate. Whatever you do treat her like a queen - she'll love you for it. The cost will include the food, possibly candles, but mainly your time plus any gifts you may add. This could be perfume or flowers that will be touched on later in the list.
