Fisher Price Easy Link System is a Parents Prayer Answered
The Best Thing to Come Along for a Tired Mommy
When I first stumbled upon the Fisher Price Easy Link Launch Pad online, I thought that it would be a waste of money. I mean come on, any of us are capable of typing in an address, and those who are more advanced could create a short cut on the desktop to our children's favorite sites.Wrong, boy was I wrong. I ended up purchasing this item from Amazon only because it was at such an incredible price I couldn't pass it up.
After sitting at 30.00 all season the price finally dropped to 11.99. I really passed this gift off as just another item to open, that wouldn't get much play. But soon found out this would become not only myself but also my three year old daughters favorite toy. It was very easy to hook up.
I simply plugged in the usb cord into my computer, inserted the cd-rom that was included. Answered a few on screen questions and I was off. Some of the features that caught me right away were, that you could limit the amount of time the child can use the item each day and also whether or not to allow them to print and how many a day as well.
The package came bundled with an Elmo, fisher price dog and dragon tales each site has many of games, stories and coloring pages for your child to do. You can also purchase additional smart keys that come in pack of two; I have seen Thomas the train, barney, the wiggles and bob the builder. Now this system locks the child from going anywhere other then the smart keys designated web sites and I love that.
She simply inserts Elmo into the go spot and the web page appears on the screen. There are easy to use navigation buttons that your children can navigate, and best of all you will never again hear, "mom I need help". Now I'm not saying to leave your child for hours on end to fend for themselves, but isn't it comforting to know that you can get something done while they are playing educational games?
Actually as I write this, she is on the computer learning her ABC's and also having a good time. If I knew then what I know now, I would of gladly paid 30.00 for such an item. Moms isn't a moment of silence worth a million dollars?
