Why does it seem like the more channels you have, the more it seems like there is nothing on? Now T.V. is not always the best thing to do to pass time. However when it is snowy and cold outside sometimes a nice way to relax is being curled up next to your better half and watching a nice T.V. show or
movie.
Now it seems like it is the same old stuff on TV. You have you competition shows to see who can win what by doing God knows what. And then you have the shows like CSI and Law-and-Order which are good shows. They just get old after you have seen every episode. Next you have the shows like My Super Sweet 16 featured on MTV. That show is where extremely spoiled kids whine and cry to get there way. It gets old too.
What I would like to know is what happened to the classics? You know, like Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Roseanne, Murphy Brown and Cheers. Every once in a while you can find these shows on Nick at Nite and on TV Land. But why are they not on anymore during the day time and prime time?
There is another show that really bothers me. One is a cartoon on Cartoon Network. The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy. What is up with that show? One of the main Characters on that show does nothing but whine and cry because he does not get his way. Or he sits there are picks his nose it is just horrible. And his sister Mandy is clinically depressed I do believe. And this what the children like to watch. And parents allow it.
I think that we should have the television shows of the past. Where families watched them together. I remember when you had to be extremely wealthy to have cable and you had maybe 30 channels. I also remember Thank Goodness It's Friday (TGIF) on ABC. It would come on every Friday night. And they had shows like Full House, Family Matters, Dinosaurs, Boy Meets World. And Step by Step. No your not able to find those shows anywhere.
With there being so many extra channels on TV you would think that you would be able find something good on. But you cant. It is simply not there. So if you are thinking about taking that day to sit in front of the tube, maybe you should go out and rent a movie because that would be time better spent.
