In this market, even the most attractive homes are having trouble selling, which means that homeowners who need to sell must seek other options to move properties. If you're having trouble selling your home, you might be able to offer incentives to buyers that can increase the chances of a sale. Although this practice is common with builders and real estate investors, it hasn't yet become the norm for individual sellers. This can be a huge advantage.

Incentives you offer to sell your home can vary widely, and you must consider all of your options before you make a decision. If you offer too many incentives, you could wind up selling your home for a price you can't afford, and putting yourself in severe jeopardy. This should be avoided wherever possible. To come out even or even ahead in the deal, you'll have to come up with incentives that won't put you in the poor house, so to speak.

New Appliances

If the appliances are stopping you from selling your home - which can happen in an older house without any updates - you can offer incentives in the way of a new refrigerator, washer, dryer, microwave, oven or dishwasher. This can be a huge benefit to buyers who are spending all of their money on a down payment and won't have any leftover cash to furnish their new home. You can do this without buying top-of-the-line appliances, and you can factor that expense into the selling price.

Fresh Fixtures

Are the water faucets in your home looking a little dingy? What about the light fixtures? Could the ceilings use new vents? A great incentive to offer in order to sell your home is new fixtures, which aren't very expensive but can make your home look far more appealing. Door knobs, outdoor spigots, stovetop burners and other fixtures can increase the value of your home without breaking the bank.

Very good suggestions and it is amazing what a little sprucing up can do. New fixtures and knobs, etc can make a big difference.
