Birthday Parties have come along way. They have progressed way beyond the traditional home party, and even the home parties now- a- days have professional entertainers. The nice thing is, with the variety available, you can tailor a party to the child’s personality, Here are a few of the party places in New York City that offer unique party experiences, for that one of a kind party.

The Hall of Science in Flushing Meadows Park, Queens New York
http://www.nyscience.org/index.php

The Hall of Science is a great place to visit at any time, and a child who has their birthday party here will remember it for many years to come.
You have a choice of 8 different birthday party themes, depending on the age of the child. They range from 3-5, 4-5, 6 and older and 8 and older. The birthday parties last for 2 hours(1 ½ hours of activities and ½ hour in the private room). They all include a take home activity and balloon for each child. Catered food is included for the children. Adult food is extra. Birthday Parties are for a minimum of 12 children and start at $500

Mars 2112, New York, New York
http://www.mars2112.com/
How about taking a trip to Mars right in the middle of Times Square? It sure would be a unique experience. They can accommodate from 20-1000 guests. You actually board a “space ship” and arrive on mars in the year 2112, The special effects are amazing. Contact them for specifics about the birthday parties.

Playrobics Queens, New York
http://www.playrobics.net/home.asp
This is for the active child. Here the children, and adults if they want to, can use the play area for 1 hour. The birthday party itself last for 2 hours and you have the use of the party room for th whole time. They provide pizza and drinks for the kids and coffee and tea for the adults. Check out the food pages for prices on adult food. Prices start at less than $200, and you can customize the package by adding other options like crafts and laser tag. It is well worth looking into.

I'm looking for a nice ordinary place to have a party for my daughter's 13th birthday. I don't need anything too fancy, just something simple and ordinary. I need a place in Jamaica, Queens that's not too expensive. I would like a birthday party package which would include a place, food catering and a live DJ to play music. I want a big enough hall or place because I don't want the party just for kids, I want the party for family members, relatives and friends as well a place that will hold around 50 people. Anyone out there have any suggestions? It will be really appreciated.

I'm also looking for a party place. Today I callled Children's museum on west 83rd. Waiting to hear a response. The ywha has a great room in upper manhattan 200 dyckman street. It has a room for toddlers and one for bigger kids activities. It's cheap u must provide everything. they will decorate for you. it's about 200 plus 15 kids? Had a party last year and a baptism. Very reasonable YWHA (212)569-6200 2hours and not open on Sunday . Let me know if you hear of another goo place.......maria_c_claramu@yahoo.com
