It seems like everyone has a blog these days. People like to blog about everything. There are people in San Francisco who like to blog about the fog. Then, there are people in Los Angeles who prefer to blog about the smog. Somewhere there is a farmer who just wants to blog about a hog. And I am sure there is a princess who wants to blog about a frog. There is even an animal rights activist that likes to blog about a cat…I mean dog. Well, you get the idea. Anyway, with all these blogs out there, how can you find the best blogs without wasting your time? Well, here is a list that will help you out. These are in no particular order, but here are my choices for best blogs on the internet today:

1. Do you ever wonder what goes on in the mind of a billionaire? Well, you don’t have to wonder anymore. Real life billionaire Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has a blog that he frequently updates. It can be found at www.blogmaverick.com.

2. Do you remember the Internet boom? When all those highflying internet stocks were shooting through the roof, Merrill Lynch internet analyst Henry Blodget was a rock star on Wall Street. He became famous for predicting that Amazon.com would hit $400 per share. Since then, Blodget was charged with civil securities fraud by the SEC, settled the case, and was banned from the securities industry for life. However, even that cannot keep Henry from sharing his thoughts about internet companies on his own personal blog at www.internetoutsider.com.

3. Okay, one more financial blog, while we‘re on the subject. Gary Weiss is a former Business Week reporter who writes about dishonesty on Wall Street. He has also written two books: one about the mafia on Wall Street and one about the inner workings of Wall Street. He also runs an interesting blog at http://garyweiss.blogspot.com.

4. Most people have heard of the popular website www.craigslist.org. Well, there is actually a person named Craig Newmark who started the craigslist.com phenomenon. Craig operates a very interesting and informative blog at www.cnewmark.com.

Takeaways
  • Mark Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, blogs frequently at blogmaverick.com.
  • Craig Newmark, the founder of Craig's List, operates a blog at cnewmark.com.
  • A waiter's blog about his job was so good that it secured him a book deal.
Did You Know?
