Many things in life can effect our moods even if we're completely unaware of some of them. Colors, visuals and other stimuli can play a role in how romantic - or not romantic - we feel. And it's not enough to feel romantic; you have to have a partner that feels the same way! Here's a few tips on how to make your bedroom a romatic getaway with little efffort.
Examine your bedroom for a moment. Is there clutter? Dust? Clothes strewn about? None of that is very romantic! Get rid of it all! Clean the bedroom - and keep it that way - then you and your partner will both feel more comfortable there.
Get rid of family photos. Many people display photos of kids, pets, relatives and friends on their dressers or bedroom shelves, but all those relatives' faces don't exactly promote romance. Choose a couple of pictures or paintings for your bedroom but select wisely. Pictures of dogs playing poker or a cowboy on the plains won't promote much romance. Beach scenes, city night scapes, or pictures of open fields are much more enticing - even if it is subconsciously. Only pictures of you and your mate should be displayed in the bedroom.
Don't play gender favorites with colors and patterns. In other words, don't do the entire bedroom decor in shades of pink just because you're a woman. An extremely feminine room doesn't settle well with most men, even if they don't admit it. If you're a guy, get rid of the sports memorabilia, racecar posters and ball caps on hooks.
