Product Review: Energizer Energi to Go Cell Phone Charger

Over Thanksgiving, I was placed in an unfortunate situation. My cell phone died while I was an hour away from home. After going through all of my bags, I realized that my cell phone charger was still sitting on the table at home where I
left it. With a sinking feeling in my stomach I headed to Wal-Mart, only to learn that they were closed for the holidays, as were most stores. The only store that was open was Meijer. I checked through all their cell phone chargers, but they did not have any home chargers that would fit my Samsung cell phone. As the cigarette lighter in my car does not work, and my battery was officially dead, I was running out of options. Then I found the Energizer Energi to Go Cell Phone Charger.

The Energizer Energi to Go Cell Phone Charger uses two lithium batteries to charge up a cell phone. From the variety the store had, it appears as though Energizer has one available to fit most models of cell phones. The charger includes the two batteries needed to run it. All you have to do is install the two batteries, plug the charger into your cell phone, and let it charge.

I was honestly very excited about the Energizer Energi to Go Cell Phone Charger when I first found it. As someone who travels frequently, and does not have a working cigarette lighter, I thought this would be the answer to my cell phone charger problems. Unfortunately the Energizer Energi to Go Cell Phone Charger doesn't deliver.

When I first plugged the charger into my Samsung cell phone, it instantly began working. Within only a few minutes my cell phone was charged enough to make a short phone call. Even better, it kept charging while I was on the phone. After a three minute long conversation, I turned off the phone, left the charger plugged in, and hoped that I would wake to a fully charged cell phone.
