What you need:
Lashes
Eyelash Glue
Eyeliner
Mascara
Spoon (plastic or silver, doesn't matter)

False lashes are fun to wear. But for the newcomer, trying to apply falsies can be frustrating, time consuming, and sticky. Applying fake lashes can be difficult at first, but read these steps and, after a few practices, you'll be applying like a pro.

Step one:
First, go out and buy lashes. Sounds easy right? There are about a million different types of lashes- long, super long, thick, different lengths, the same length, halves, different colors (every color of the rainbow), and even lashes that look like feathers. It doesn't matter to ME which you select, we will apply them the same (but I would stay away from the feathered ones, they're just creepy).

The first time you attempt to apply false lashes, you should try to buy the cheapest ones you can find. You may want to buy more than one pack because after you practice, chances are, you're going to have them so glued up and stuck together you're going to need the another pair when you're ready to do this to actually go out in public.

Step Two:
Congratulations! You've got your lashes (and it only took you two hours to pick them out). Now, you need to buy glue (don't give me that look, you HAVE to have glue!). If the lashes come with a tube of glue, save that for your purse (for touch ups or mishaps). That glue is ok for emergencies, but definitely not a good lash glue. Don't even TRY to use the lash strips (unless you want your eyelashes to blow off in the wind- no seriously).

Look for a clear glue like Sassi. It comes in a small glass bottle with a brush that looks a bit like a nail polish brush. A lot of small beauty supply shops sell such glue. The name brand isn't as important as the clear, liquid goo with the little brush (the vials of glue are all quite similar, but different from the tubes of glue which don't hold as well).

Step Three:
Ok, you've got your lashes and you've got your little vial of glue. Now you're home sitting in front of the mirror looking at your lashes and thinking:

"OMG, I cannot do this!"
