Handmade Valentine's Day Gifts

Are you looking for something special to give for Valentines day and don't have a lot of money to spend? Maybe you just want to give something special this year that comes from the heart. There are many different homemade gifts that you can make to give your loved ones and friends.

Mixed CDs

Remember those old mixed tapes you used to make for all your friends? Why not try a new twist on mixed tapes and make a mixed CD. Unlike those old mixed tapes mixed CD's don't have to be just music anymore try making one of pictures or video's. Use your webcam to make a video of favorite memories you have of the person or even just things they would think were funny. Take all your favorite pictures of that person or pictures they would like and add them to a CD.

Dough Projects

Another fun homemade gift is to make something with dough. This is a great idea for children to make or even just a fun project for adults. To make this all you need is flour, a little salt and water. Depending on how big your project is will depend on how much of each you will need. I usually start with a cup of flour, a teaspoon of salt and mix with water until the consistency of play dough. There are many different things you can make with this like picture frames, jewelry, sculptures and children may also make handprints with this. To dry your project just place in the oven at 250 degrees until hard. After your project has hardened you may paint it with any acrylic paints.

Coupon Book

We have all seen the different coupon books and probably made plenty of these when were younger. These can actually be a really good project for adults too. Is your husband or wife always asking you to do things for them? Why not make them coupons for the next time they need or want something done. These are great for children to make since parents always love to have something to prove the child said they would do something.
