On December 31, the Miami Dolphins fired their General Manager Randy Mueller. It was only a matter of time until the Miami Dolphins fired Cam Cameron. Cam Cameron was fired for two reasons. The first

reason is the once proud Miami Dolphins finished a dismal 1-15 and the second reason is the Miami Dolphins are going to make a lot of changes.

The season went so bad for the Dolphins many people were wondering if the Miami Dolphins were going to win a game this season. After going 0-13, they won their one and only game of the season. The Dolphins were 2 games behind the next worst team the St. Louis Rams (3-13).There were a few 4-12 teams out there too. One of those teams the New York Jets beat the Dolphins twice. The Dolphins finished 5 games worse than they finished in 2006 when they were 6-10. Certainly, this is not the direction the Dolphins ownership had planned.

Bill Parcells is a football mind who is used to winning. Firing the general manager and firing the head coach is a clear way to start over. At 1-15 the Miami Dolphins have little room to go down and all the room in the world to go up. Early rumors have Bill Parcells targeting Dallas Cowboys assistant coach Tony Sparano. The Dolphins hired Jeff Ireland this week to replace Randy Mueller, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Dolphins make a move for a new coach quickly.

Fox Sports Alex Marvel thinks the Dolphins list for a head coach looks like Tony Sparano, Arizona's offensive coordinator Todd Haley, and Cowboy's assistant Todd Bowles. Who ever the coach is they can't finish much worse. One thing for certain is Bill Parcells and company won't tolerate another 1-15 season. The Dolphins housecleaning of player personnel and coaching staff gives Parcells the chance to put his stamp on the Dolphins organization.

Not sure why they hired him in the first place. He was head coach at Indiana University when I was there. He did a terrible job there too.
