The set itself comes with 500 chips in five different colors. You will receive 150 white chips, 150 red chips, 100 blue chips, 50 green chips, and 50 black chips in the set. In addition to the chips, you will also get two decks of cards, game buttons, and a nice aluminum case to carry everything in. Since everything fits nicely into the case, it is extremely easy to transport from place to place, so you can set up your poker game wherever you would like with ease. The chips are all very well made, so you should not really have a problem with the chips breaking as long as you use them properly.
Since you get so many chips in the set, you will be able to play with a fair amount of people with just this one set of chips. You should not need to purchase an additional set unless you are planning to play a very large poker game with a lot of people. Some of the smaller sets will not allow you to have this convenience, so it is worth it to buy a larger set like the GLD Products poker chip set to ensure that you have enough chips for your game.
Another reason that I really like this set is because, not only does it suit my purposes perfectly, it is also very affordable compared to some of the other poker chip sets on the market today. The set can usually be found for around $70.00, so compared to other chip sets, it is a pretty good deal for the quality of the set that you will receive. Overall, I would recommend that you pick up one of the GLD Products sets, even if you do not plan to use it more than once or twice a month. It will make those poker nights much more enjoyable.
