She sits in silence,

waits for days,

contemplates and to the Lord she prays,

send me an angel,

a loving, honest man,

that will always love me and forever hold my hand,

a star begins to twinkle as do her eyes,

a knock at the door brings a surprise,

an old friend from many years ago,

stands there with and holds a box with a bow,

I love you he says,

always have and always will,

it is my dreams in which you fulfill,

he lowers himself onto one knee,

looks into her eyes and asks will you marry me,

yes she cries in amorous delight,

That is the story of my love one summer night.
