Seven Movie Trailers to Expect at the 2008 Super Bowl
Every year the big story at the Super Bowl isn't the winner or loser or the MVP but the best commercials. McDonald's, Budweiser, Coke and others all trot out their best possible commercials. The commercials I look most forward to are the movie trailers.
In order to buy an advertising spot during the Super Bowl this year, movie studios had to fork out somewhere between $2.7 million and $3.0 million. If a studio is going to spend that much money just to advertise a movie for one night then the movie must be
expected for big things. The movies that get trailers during the Super Bowl are most likely going to be the movies that gross the most money this summer. The following movies are movies whose trailer you can expect to see during this year's Super Bowl, as well as a few other logical guesses.
Super Bowl Trailer #1: Iron Man
Last year Dreamworks raked in the cash fro Paramount with Shrek the Third and Transformers. This year one of the trailers Dreamworks will be showing off during the Super Bowl is Iron Man. Iron Man is another in a long line of comic book adaptations. Will Iron Man reach the numbers that Spider-Man or X-Men did? I'm not so sure, but Paramount is banking on it.
Super Bowl Trailer #2: Hancock
One of the big winners in 2007 was Will Smith's I Am Legend. Will Smith returns to his roots in 2008 when he will once again be starring in a movie on the Fourth of July weekend called Hancock. Will Smith plays the part of a superhero that has fallen on hard times and is no longer liked by the public. Hancock is now trying to change his image.
Super Bowl Trailer #3: You Don't Mess with the Zohan
Judd Apatow has been a pretty hot commodity but he has yet to write a movie for one of the superstars of comedy. In You Don't Mess with the Zohan Judd Apatow gets his chance to write for Adam Sandler. Adam Sandler plays the part of a Mossad agent that comes to the States to become a hair stylist
