Britney Spears Rushed to the Hospital

Troubled pop star Britney Spears was rushed to the emergency room Thursday night after a 4 hour standoff with police at her Studio City home in which she refused to hand over her children to ex husband Kevin Federline, who has primary legal custody.

Spears was found to be under the influence of an unknown substance and arrived at Cedar Sinai Medical Center, according to various media outlets including TMZ and celebrity blogger Perez Hilton .

"The stress and mental anguish of the ongoing custody battle and deposition has caused Spears to 'lose a tremendous amount of weight in the past several weeks,' " according to CNN.

Federline's lawyer as well as a representative from Spears' legal group, Trope and Trope, who filed a motion to withdraw from legally representing her, also arrived at the home, as did Federline.

Sean Preston and Jayden James were finally handed over to Federline, who also arrived at the hospital. Jayden James was also rushed to the emergency room by ambulance, reports Wikipedia.
