Reality television continues to be hot, especially in light of the continuing writer's strike. Although it seemed that Donald Trump's "The Apprentice" should have died after a disastrous season in 2007, it is back once again. This time, however, there is a twist.

"Celebrity Apprentice" pits 14 celebrities against one another to raise money for charity. If last night's premiere is any indication of the fun to come, this season should be both interesting and fun.

Celebrities participating include:

Kiss phenomenon Gene Simmons;
Supermodel extraordinary Carol Alt;
Undisputed lineal heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis;
2005 Playmate of the Year Tiffany Fallon;
Ultimate Fighting Champ Tito Ortiz;
Country western crooner Trace Atkins;
Actress and author Marilu Henner;
Creator and judge of "America's Got Talent" Piers Morgan;
Softball star Jennie Finch;
Actor Stephen Baldwin;
Media Entrepreneur Nely Galan;
"Soprano's" star Vincent Pastore;
Olympian Nadia Comaneci; and
Ex "Apprentice" star Omarosa.

The teams were divided boys versus girls and asked to choose a name and project manager. Omarosa jumped forward to volunteer even before the teams were officially divided.

The girls decided on the name Empresario while the seven man team opted to call themselves Hydra after the seven headed beast of mythology. Stephen Baldwin was chosen to lead the men's team the first time around while Omarosa got her wish to lead the women.

After receiving their task, which was to sell hotdogs on the streets of New York, Omarosa turned to Carol Alt - - the only New Yorker among them - - to choose a location for their stand. She suggested the corner of 34th and 7th because it was close to Penn Station.

Marilu Henner suggested that the girls capitalize on their celebrity to bring in people who would be willing to pay big bucks for their product. Omarosa nixed that idea announcing that the team would rely on good business practices rather than their celebrity.

Omarossa sounds like she needs both strategy lessons and teamworking skills development.

I had a "free" hotdog in a casino that cost me $5000 once. That is a good review. I won't have to watch it, just follow your columns/.

Good grief! That's one expensive hot dog. But it's for charity, so I'll let them off! Sophie

Gene Simmons is a naturally funny guy! I never thought I would even remotely enjoy watching him in anything, but his reality show was really, really, interesting and fun! This sounds good too! Thanks for a great recap!

Oh, I wish I'd watched this now, especially after seeing the list of celebs that appeared. Was Donald nicer to the celebs than ordinary people? Nice article!

Nice summary! I could live without a few of these "celebs" (including Trump!) but will keep up with it through your always-excellent updates. Good job, Charlie!
