What better way to share the love on Valentine's Day than with a festive bag full of wishes? This is a great craft for kids to make for their friends, parents or a grandparent. The simple instructions below will help you create this Valentines' Day craft. Materials Needed for the Valentine's Craft
To make this Valentines' Day kid's craft, you will need a small paper bag or solid color gift bag. It should be about four by six inches in size. You will also need some red or pink tissue paper, wide wooden craft sticks (like tongue depressors), acrylic craft paint, markers, glitter, stickers, craft glue, and construction paper.
Craft the Valentine's Day Messages
Each Valentine's Day love message will be written on one of the wooden craft sticks. Begin by painting each craft stick white or pale pink. You can also color them with crayons or magic markers if you do not wish to paint. Then, use a permanent marker or craft paint to write a message on each one. Using puff paint or glitter paint is a great way to jazz up this Valentine's day craft. Some possible messages include: love, be mine, pick me, and U R Nice. You can get a lot of good ideas from conversation candy hearts.
After the paint dries, attach small hearts made from construction paper or stickers to the top of each stick. Decorate them with glitter, stickers, and other red, white, and pink designs. Gluing two hearts back to back over the end of the craft stick makes for the most attractive finished product.
Craft the Valentines' Day Gift Bag
Each Valentine's Day craft bag should be decorated with stickers, glitter, and drawings that depict things associated with this holiday of love. Hearts, flowers, cupid's arrows, and lips are all good design choices. Use your creativity to decorate the bag in any way you like. Be sure to allow all paint and glue to dry before continuing.
To complete this Valentine's Day kid's craft, simply tuck a piece of tissue paper into the gift bag and then arrange several of the message sticks inside. The heart decorated ends should stick out so that the recipient can pull them out and read the messages.
