Escape of the Heart
Right next to me
I see your pulse
I breathe your air
I try so long
To reach for you
The hands of the clock stop moving
Frozen
In an instant I think a thousand thoughts
Dream a hundred dreams
One tick of the clock
And
My heart escapes out of my chest!
I think for a second that you might have felt it
A coy look guards you from my thoughts
But
Your fingers find my cheek
And
I start to tremble
As you lift my face to yours
Everything else disappears
I melt into your eyes
My world splits in two
And
Our lips meet
So soft
My heart bursts
Warm blood sends a tingling sensation throughout my body
And
I am yours
