The Nintendo Wii has become a very popular video game platform, and that has caused many well-known and bestselling video games to take advantage of Nintendo Wii's interactive capabilities. The wireless controller, called the Wii Remote, fully immerses users in the game, allowing them to use physical movements to play the game. This list highlights some of the more unusual and less known games for the Nintendo Wii that still takes advantage of the Nintendo Wii Remote. Cook Off - This Nintendo Wii game is a cooking simulation game where the player completes a series of mini-games that mimic the movements of preparing cooking dishes in real life. Although the Wii version of Cook Off is similar to the Nintendo DS version, it does not translate as well to the Nintendo Wii and some of the movements are not as responsive when using the Wii Remote. However, the Cook Off video game for the Nintendo Wii does offer some enjoyment as the player uses the cookbook to prepare dishes from over 300 recipes. Cook Off is part of the Cooking Mama series of video games developed by Office Create.
Chicken Shoot - This video game for the Nintendo Wii, where the player shoots at chickens to gain points, has not been very popular with many gamers and it rated only 2.5 out of 10 on the GameSpot website. This version for the Nintendo Wii is based on the internet version of Chicken Shoot and does utilize some of the movements of the Wii Remote. However, most reviews of the game consider it boring and pointless.
High School Musical: Sing It! -This video game is based on the movie "High School Musical." This video game uses the features of the Nintendo Wii to present a karaoke game where the users sing along with the different modes in the game. While playing High School Musical: Sing It! for the Nintendo Wii, the players can play the role of their favorite character from the movie. The video game is published by Disney and it rewards the players with special effects and different costumes as their performances improve.
