With Mardi Gras just a few weeks away, some of you are planning Mardi Gras themed dinners. Instead of dining, many of you will decide to cook a dinner in your place. I found one that can do the job. In a trip to California last year, I had a plate of Cajun Chicken Pasta that my brother served to me at this place. It was a great treat that my brother email my family the recipe so they can make it on their own one day. I decide to share the recipe with you. Here's how to make this wonderful dish:

You need the following Ingredients:

1/2 pound linguine pasta

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning

1/4 cup butter

2 red bell pepper, sliced

2 green bell pepper, sliced

8 fresh mushrooms, sliced

2 green onion, chopped

2 cups heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

After the getting the ingredients, here are the steps you take to make this dish.

1. Get a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add linguini pasta, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente; drain.

2. While the noodles are cooking, place chicken and Cajun seasoning in a bowl, and toss to coat.

3. Get a large skillet over medium heat, have the chicken sauté in butter until it's no longer pink inside and juices run clear, about 5 to 7 minutes. After that, add green and red bell peppers, sliced mushrooms and green onions; cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce heat, and stir in heavy cream. Season the sauce with basil, lemon pepper, salt, garlic powder and ground black pepper, and heat through.

4. In a large bowl, put the linguini in the same skillet with sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

5. After you finish cooking, put on a plate, let it cool down a little and enjoy.
