As I finished the last page of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", I couldn't help but wonder what the author had in store for the future of the Boy Who Lived. And apparently, I wasn't the only one.

Everyone has been speculating about whether or not J.K. Rowling will write another novel about the Boy Wizard. At times, even Ms. Rowling was not sure. In a recent interview with Time Magazine, the world renowned author is quoted as saying "There have been times since finishing, weak moments when I've said, 'Yeah, all right, to the eight novel." Rowling says that if she writes another story, Harry won't be the main character.

So, where would the eight novel go with this story? That's what I have been speculating on myself. For those who finished the seventh novel, you know that Harry and Ginny Weasley get married and have children, along with Ron and Hermione Granger, who do the same. Even that nasty little Slytherin, Malfoy gets married and has a kid. The impression that I got was that Harry's kids did not understand why everyone on the Hogwart's Express was staring at their Dad.

It would seem to me that, Rowling could not do another story about Voldemort, as that would be rather redundant. The Boy Who Lived has moved on with his life and is happy. Voldemort is long dead, and there would be little chance of reviving him. That too, would be redundant. So, how to add to this story without making the story all about Harry again. What could Rowling do to add something interesting to this wonderful tale of Magic and Friendship.

My idea would to go backwards, of sorts. Maybe explore the lives of James and Lily Potter, Sirius Black and Lupin, just to name a few. Or even go back further and explore the life of Albus Dumbledore. That might prove to be very interesting given the information told in the last book. I don't know how interesting it might be, or what twist she might be able to put on the story, but I would definitely read it, no matter what story line she comes up with.

I think that if she does decide to do another book she should make one about harry's children and his friends children. Or, she should make a whole new series with all of there children going about adventures and things like that. and then have some new dark wizard come along and have all of harry and his friends children do things against him. just like harry, ron, and hermione did (along with all of the others.). I think that would definitely be the way to go. But no matter what, if she does write more books about this series i will read them no matter what story line she chooses.
