The Yahoo Answers portion of the Yahoo internet site can be very useful in answering all types of income tax questions. Since the federal income tax season is underway, the Yahoo Answers site is a great place to find quick and simplified answers to your income tax questions. You should not rely solely on the responses found on Yahoo Answers but Yahoo Answers can be an effective source for answers to your income tax questions. Here are my five reasons why to use Yahoo Answers for your income tax questions.

Quick Response

If you have an income tax question that you need to have answered quickly, then Yahoo Answers is a great place to start. Since Income Tax season has started, there will be many users on the Yahoo Answers site asking and answering questions in the income tax area. Chances are that you will be able to find an answer to your question by doing a search through the resolved questions. If you can't find your particular question answered appropriately, then you can pose your own income tax question. Many times, the responders will provide links to another source that will help you confirm your answer. Again, it's still best to visit the Internal Revenue Service site or consult your own tax professional for the answer to your income tax question.

Answers Geared Toward the Layman

If you have trouble understand the extremely complex, convoluted, and technical jargon on the IRS site or in the tax publications that you are using to prepare your income taxes, then you may be able to find a simpler answer on Yahoo Answers. Many of the responses on Yahoo Answers are provided in a manner that makes it much easier to understand the income tax forms, calculations, schedules, and other mind-numbing explanations that are found in the IRS publications and other income tax documentation. At least, by starting with Yahoo Answers to present your income tax questions, these answers may help you figure it all out yourself.

due to poor credit i have been denied financing for my first home. I have family friend that is willing to sell me a home with out the help of a bank. We would use an attorney to draft terms interest etc. My question is would it be in my benefit to lease to own for 12-18 months and then try and get my own mortgage through a bank. at this time i would be strtching myself thin if i were responsible for taxes and such. on the other hand would tax benefits of actually owning outweigh property taxes??? any advise would be greatly appreciated!!!

I just started checking it out for topic ideas and promotion. I hadn't thought of actually asking a question or searching for information there, I usually just Google things. I'll give it a go. Thanks!

That's great information. I'm not a huge fan of Yahoo! Answers, though. It has nothing to do with the site, but the users I've encountered.
