Some toddlers seem to walk around like they are mad at the world and everything in it. Does your child seem to fit that description? If so they may be in desperate need of some anger management. This is actually something that has been around for a long time to help children deal with their anger issues. They will teach your child the best way to deal with these types of emotions. The majority of the time when a child begins acting this way it is because they have learned it from another adult or possibly another child. Some people feel that all that is really needed is a little bit of discipline, but all the discipline in the world will not help a child who does not understand how to express their emotions.
But what can you do as a parent to heltp your child? The first thing that you can do is help your child to learn self control. Try talking to them on their level when they appear to be frustrated or upset. Most kids will need some type of outlet. Help them to first calm down, and try to get them to relax. In a difficult situation they need to understand that the calmer you are the clearer you can think. The next thing that you can do is teach them different words that they can use to express their feelings to you. Remember that kids are still going through the learning process so they need your help in expanding their vocabulary. Try using pictures to help them illustrate their emotions. For example a sad face could mean that they are irritated or a you can draw a mad face to express that emotion. Whatever method that you can come up with to help them release that aggression will definitely be a big help to both you and them.
