A music themed bedroom is quick and easy to design, and will turn the music lover’s room into a wonderful haven. Here are some creative ideas you can use to create a music themed bedroom.

Music themed bedroom decorating idea 1: At about 4 foot from the ground, create the lines of a treble clef staff using tape. This simply means mask off the space for four horizontal black lines across one wall of the room, or all the way around the room. The lines should be in two sets 6-8 inches apart with 10-12 inches in between the sets of lines.

Music themed bedroom decorating idea 2: Above and below the lines of the room should be painted in the favorite color of the room’s occupant. In between the lines should be a lighter color like, white, cream, or a pastel of the same color. Paint the lines after you have painted the background of the room.

Music themed bedroom decorating idea 3: Paint music notes on the previously painted lines. You can use a music book for your reference or purchase stencils instead. It would a special treat for if you painted the actual notes to their favorite song.

Music themed bedroom decorating idea 4: Purchase simple bedding that coordinates with the room, and add a few music themed pillows. If you cannot find any coordinating pillow to purchase, cut out notes in black fabric and sew them onto the pillows or pillowcases.

Music themed bedroom decorating idea 5:  You can paint or decoupage room accessories like lamps, picture frames, and a wooden step stool with pages from an old music book. You can also use paint to transform a dresser drawer front into a treble clef staff. In the frames, you can place pictures of musical instruments from a picture book.

Music themed bedroom decorating idea 6: For your flooring, you can make a matching shag area rug to match the room. Purchase a shag white rug and a small black rug with the same pile. Cut your music notes of the exact same size out of the rugs. Replace the cut out letters from the white rugs with their black copies and use rug tape or duct tape to hold the notes in place. Fluff the rug with your fingers.
