If you love flowers, and you love photos why not combine the two to make fabulous wall displays? The project is unique and beautiful, and best of all, no one will ever have one exactly like yours. Gather a bunch of your favorite photos, some scissors and craft supplies, and of course, some flowers.

Vines are the best selection for this fabulous floral photo display. Vines which have flowers attached are even better. You'll find lengthy vine selections at many discount department stores and craft supply retailers.

There are several different ways to attach the vines to the chosen wall. Use tape in discreet places, staple the vines, or use double-sided tape to mount the vines. Arrange the vines in rows, like a flower garden, or let the vines snake up the wall in a natural manner. Use an assortment of flowers, in various colors and types, or choose all one kind of flowers. Flowers that are easy to flatten, like sunflowers, are preferable to full flowers like roses.

After arranging all the vines on the wall you'll begin to add your photographs. Here, you can use a choice of inexpensive craft supplies to enhance the pictures. Cut flower shapes from felt, craft foam, foil, fabric or colorful scrapbook paper. Cut photos out in circles and glue one directly to the center of the felt or foam.

Affix each photo flower to a selected place on the wall. The photo should be placed up against the vine so it appears to grow out of the vine. Add as many or as few pictures as you'd like. Make a floral photo arrangement for a girl's room, using pictures of her as she's growing, or make a display for the living room, showing pictures of your most recent vacation.

You don't necessarily have to use real vines for the wall display. Draw the vines on the wall with paint markers, using stencils. Or, purchase rub-on appliques of vines and flowers, then add the photos to the wall display.

It's also not a mandatory thing to use real photos of your family and friends. For a child's room cut out pictures of her favorite characters, like Barbie or Dora, and add their photos to the floral display. It's a unique wall creation that will please any little girl.

Takeaways
  • Attach fake vines to your wall then add flower shapes, cut from your photos.
  • Add miniature ladybugs or butterflies to enhance the wall display.
  • Cut pictures of cartoon characters for your daughter's room.
