In a matter of time, it will be Valentine's Day. This day is known for its romantic getaways and wonderful love stories. It's also known as Singles Awareness Day...S.A.D. for short. In short, the holiday can be filled with love and/or heartbreak.

However, there is another possibility. What about the Christian couple that is dating? Clearly, there are certain things that just can't happen if the two people in the relationship are not yet married and they want to please the Lord. It can be frustrating to find godly ways to express your feelings for your significant other that won't leave you in a compromising situation. Here are some ideas that will help you make your loved one feel special without any of the guilt afterward.

Get another Gift

Yeah, Christmas wasn't too long ago, but you can never go wrong with buying that special someone a really nice gift. The good part about Valentine's Day is that you can be thoughtful with your gift. Where Christmas is more about the quality, Valentine's Day gifts reveal just how much you know about your significant other. The gift should show just how much you care and know about. For ladies, consider a nice bracelet or a charm. For gents, some nice cologne or a tie will work.

Night on the Town

Don't even negate the "Dinner and a Movie" set up. It's simple, and it's a staple. However, do your best to make it nice. Even if you can't go to the most expensive restaurant around, you can dress up a little more than usual. If there aren't any decent movies playing, then try to find some attraction in town. That shouldn't be too hard if you live in an area like Washington, DC or New York City. If you don't, travel to the city nearest to you.

Love Letters

Since the holiday is about love, why don't you do something from the heart? Tell your significant other just what they mean to you and why. You can write a poem or a card. Or you can take it old school and write it in a letter.
