The funny thing is I still use a lot of those old remedies today. Here I will try to provide you with some easy to make remedies, some old, some new. I will alphabetize them for easy reference.

Acne - Clean your face with a cotton ball dipped in lemon juice or apple cider and rinse.
- Put a tiny dab of toothpaste on the acne or pimple.

Bad breath - Try chewing on some fresh parsley or fresh celery.
- Boil some cinnamon bark and put in a clean bottle. Use daily as mouth wash.

Burn (minor) - Put aloe vera on burn every few hours.
- Put yogurt on the burn and let sit for 15 - 20 minutes.
- Apply some honey to the burn and cover for 30 minutes.

Constipation - Take a tablespoon of olive oil.
- Mix a tablespoon of corn syrup with 1 cup water and drink.

Coughing - Sip on a mixture of honey (2 TBS.) and apple cider
(1/2 C.).
- Add some cinnamon to a cup of herbal tea and drink.

Diarrhea - Drink peppermint tea to relieve the pain of diarrhea.
- Drink chamomile tea to relieve diarrhea and pain.
- Eat boiled sweet potatoes to stop diarrhea.

Ear ache - Boil 4 or 5 cloves of garlic with water, mash garlic cloves, put mashed garlic
in a flannel cloth and place over the aching ear.

Hair (damaged) - Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix it to ¼ cup of mayonnaise,
apply the mixture to hair, massage in and cover with a towel, wait 20
minutes and rinse well.
- Mix ¼ cup of honey and an egg, put on hair, wait 15 minutes, then
wash.

Head ache - Take 2 - 3 tablespoons of feverfew leaves and put in a cup of boiling water,
let steep at least 10 minutes, strain and cool down some. Can enjoy this tea
twice a day.
- Mix 1 teaspoon of lavender leaves in to a cup of boiling water, let cool, drink
every 3 - 4 hours when needed.
- Make a paste of dried ginger powder and water, apply to forehead, and relax
for 20 minutes.
- Sniffing lavender or peppermint oils can help relieve a head ache.

Heartburn - Try a cup of chamomile tea. Put 1 tablespoon of chamomile flowers into a
cup of boiling water, let steep for 15 minutes, cool, strain and enjoy.

Hiccups - Take a tablespoon of peanut butter.
- Slowly drink a glass of cold water.

Sinus infection? Use the saline nasal spray frequently, and apply heat packs like grain bags.

Home remedies are wonderful! I've heard olive oil and fasting can also help pass kidney stones. - On a side note, thank heavens all you lost was the roof on your porch in the recent tornadic weather you experienced. That's still a bummer, tho'. I'm truly sorry to hear about everyone's wild weather woes- scary! Thankfully, you're all okay!

Good ideas. I also heard that beer is good for damaged hair and toothpaste is good for itching.
