My experience at Gold Lake Spa & Resort was both relaxing and rejuvenating. The treatments are set in a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. The food is exquisite and the setting is romantic. The staff is well trained and helpful. The cabins are decadent and lavish. The grounds are breathtaking. The activities are plentiful and unique. It is expensive, but worth every penny. I would recommend anyone to this resort. I am definitely going back as soon as I get some time off. This is the perfect place for a honeymoon or a "just because" indulgence.

This luxurious resort rests on 100 acres and is located just 25 miles outside of Boulder, CO, nestled within the Rocky Mountains under the brow of the Continental Divide. There are many things to do. The staff will even pack you a picnic if you decide to hike into the Indian Peaks. Within the Indian Peaks lies a glacial lake, breathtaking waterfalls and gorgeous, abundant wildflowers. As you explore the trails you may be lucky enough to see some of Colorado's finest wildlife such as: herons, hawks, mammots, deer and foxes. If you are really lucky you may catch a glimpse of eagles, owls, black bears, cougars, bobcats, elk and a pair of river otters that are famous to the area. There are 18 cabins for you to choose from. These cabins have lavish amenities such as: serta mattresses, period antiques, local art, gas stoves and slate, copper and marble bathrooms. The average price is $270.00 per night. Included in your rate: choice of cabin, continental breakfast, use of main lobby and lakeside hot pools. They accept the credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and Discover. Within the resort there is a bar, spa, bicycles and Alice's Restaurant hosting Executive Chef Ted Mathesius. During your stay you should take the time to enjoy some of their great activities such as: hiking, snowshoeing, horseback riding and fly fishing. Alice's is a "from scratch" kitchen with mostly organic food and one of the largest most selective wine lists around. Here is the dinner menu:
