I have tried more than a few flavors of Lay's Stax Potato Crisps. There is a wide variety to pick from. Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps looked really interesting to me and since I love tomatoes, I thought that I would give this exciting flavor a try. Here is what I discovered.

Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps are in a can, not a bag. On the can is a little mini postage looking stamp and a seal that reads "tastes from around the world." This particular taste or flavor is inspired by Italy. Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps impressed me and I do like the taste very much. This flavor is original and very good! If you like Italian food, you will probably like these chips. I did. The flavor is a nice blend of tomatoes, cheddar cheese, garlic, onions and basil. It is kind of like having a ready made Italian sauce or dip already on the chip. These chips were very different and I mean different in a good way. I enjoyed them. The tomato flavor was tangy. I liked the blend of herbs in these crisps. I found Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps to be crispy and hearty. They are thicker than Pringles and less salty.

These crisps have natural and artificial flavoring in them. Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps are made with Sunflower oil. One serving of Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps equals about twelve crisps. In one serving, you get one hundred and fifty calories. Eighty of these calories are from fat. Total fat is nine grams, the saturated fat is one gram and the trans fat is zero grams. This product has no cholesterol! The sodium content is not too bad. It is one hundred and ninety mgs. These crisps have sixteen grams of carbs, one gram of dietary fiber and two grams of protein. One serving of Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps gives you two percent of your daily required vitamin C, calcium and iron.

Takeaways
  • Lay's Stax Italian Tomato Basil Potato Crisps are very tasty!
  • These crisps have a flavorful blend of tomato, cheese, garlic, basil and onion!
  • This snack has no cholesterol!
