So you've found yourself in the capital of the state of Illinois, Springfield, Illinois. This city was founded in 1819 and was made the capital of Illinois in 1837. The city is the site of a number of attractions centered around President Abraham Lincoln, who started his political career in Springfield, Illinois. Some of the various attractions include a national park which includes his home after marriage as well as the preserved surrounding neighborhood. As well as the newly built Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and his burial mausoleum. There is something else that is making this city stand out - its hotels. I researched and reviewed the top three of these hotels for potential guests consideration.

The first hotel in which I reviewed is the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel. This three-and-a-half-star hotel is located in downtown Springfield, and connects to the Prairie Capital Convention Center via an underground concourse. This hotel offers 13,000 square feet of meeting space, and comes equipped with a business center outfitted with high-speed Internet access available for a surcharge. Some of the other amenities include an indoor pool, spa tub, and exercise room. There is also complimentary airport transportation provided. This hotel has 316 rooms in its 12-story frame, and offers brand name toiletries, free HBO, and complimentary newspapers. Some of the other amenities includes a multi-line phone, pay movies, and refrigerators on request.
