Super Bowl Party Recipe: 7-Layer Mexican Dip
This recipe couldn't get much easier. You'll need:
- 1 package cream cheese (about 8 oz.), softened
- 2 cans refried beans
- 1 package shredded cheese*
- 1 package sour cream (about 8 oz.)
- 1 head lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 jar guacamole of your choice
- 1 jar salsa of your choice
- Tortilla chips
* I prefer Pepperjack cheese, but you can use just about any cheese you prefer.
In a serving dish, layer cream cheese, refried beans, shredded cheese, sour cream. Sprinkle with shredded lettuce, then diced tomatoes and onions. Serve with guacamole, salsa and tortilla chips.
(For a healthier treat, use reduced fat or non-fat cream cheese, shredded cheese, sour cream and baked tortilla chips)
Super Bowl Party Recipe: Italian Sausage Pizza
Another quick recipe... You'll need:
- 1 Boboli pizza crust (plain or whole wheat)
- 1 cup plain tomato sauce
- 1/2 to 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 to 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 Italian sausages
- 1-2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium pan, brown Italian sausage until cooked thoroughly. Slice or grate sausage and set aside.
Place pizza crust on a pizza pan. Brush lightly with olive oil. Cover pizza crust with tomato sauce. (You can use more or less sauce to your liking.)
Sprinkle Moxxarella cheese across pizza. Place sausage on top of Mozzarella. Finish with Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 for approximately 15-18 minutes.
