The BCS should stand for Because Chaos Sells. The only thing it is good for is creating a media stir - nothing ever gets settled. 2007 is the best example yet of why there needs to be a playoff - every team eligible has a fatal flaw! The BCS would work if two teams from top conferences went undefeated and met in the BCS championship game - otherwise, there will always be chaos. Here's a rundown of the 2007 teams with an argument for the National Title - and why they shouldn't complain if they don't get it.

LSU - They won the "Title Game" against Ohio State. They are viewed as one of the most talented teams in the country in 2007. That being said, they are a two-loss team that lost to questionable opponents in Arkansas and Kentucky.

Georgia - They have good wins against Florida and Auburn and blew out unbeaten Hawaii in their bowl game. They are a two-loss team as well (South Carolina and Tennessee).

USC - Playing some the best ball in the country at the end of the season, USC lost twice, including the unforgivable loss to 41-point underdog Stanford.

Kansas - A rarity - a one-loss team. Unfortunately, Kansas' only loss was to Missouri in the conference championship. They didn't even win their conference, but showed well against Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl.
